Set in beautiful, natural locations, both of Soneva’s new wellness retreats are the perfect places to refresh the relationship between body and mind. Specially designed programmes as well as nutritional guidance from expert therapists at the Six Senses Spas, both onsite, mean batteries can be fully recharged.
Soneva Fushi is located on a private island in the Maldives, hidden among dense foliage within the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. As well as exploring the surrounding jungle and nearby coral reef, guests can make the most of an outdoor cinema and watch as liquid glass is transformed into art at the Glass Studio. Food served at all of the resort’s six restaurants is organic, and after a delicious meal there’s always the opportunity to stargaze from the onsite observatory.
Soneva Kiri, meanwhile, nestled on the unspoiled island of Koh Kood far beyond Thailand’s tourist trail, offers unforgettable, authentic Thai experiences. Hike through lush jungle, relax on the beach, swim in nearby waterfalls or snorkel in crystal clear waters. Evening meals at Benz’s – arguably the best Thai restaurant in Thailand — are enjoyed by candlelight, or there’s the option to eat high up in the jungle canopy at Treepod Dining.
There are a selection of three different wellness packages offered by the onsite Six Senses Spa, each centered on the healing benefits of yoga. Experts are on hand to advise on combatting the signs of ageing and finding inner balance, and can tailor treatments and meals to suit all guests.
Soneva’s Wellness Retreat 2018 is a four-night, full board package that includes sumptuous accommodation, non-alcoholic beverages, round-trip domestic flight transfers, and a choice of one of three wellness journeys. Rates start at £3,250 and £5,380 a room for single and double occupancy, respectively.
