National Geographic Traveller (UK) has partnered with Visit Estonia to offer a four-night break for two with a chance to spot wild bears.
Cause for celebration
With the Estonia 100 celebrations marking the country’s 100th year of independence throughout 2018, there’s never been a better time to visit the Baltic state. Among the festivities are nature activities, rich cultural experiences, unexpected food finds and unique wellness treatments.
The capital of Tallinn — with its medieval Old Town, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site — is one of Europe’s most enchanting cities, blending old-world charm with cool, up-and-coming neighbourhoods. Also within easy reach are Estonia’s pristine forests; the perfect place for active adventures and wildlife spotting. visitestonia.com
One winner and a guest will receive return tickets from London Gatwick to Tallinn with EasyJet and four nights at the central four-star Hestia Hotel Europa, staying in a standard double or twin room with breakfast included. As well as enjoying Tallinn’s cultural highlights and vibrant neighbourhoods, the winner will also head out into the nearby forest of Alutaguse, courtesy of local tour operator Natourest, for a chance to spot some of the region’s spectacular wildlife, including raccoon dogs, otters, elk and — with a little luck — one of the country’s 700 or so brown bears.
Competition closes 30 September 2018 at 23:59 (GMT)
