National Geographic Traveller and G Adventures have teamed up to give you the opportunity to win one of G Adventures’ Best of Egypt trips.

The North African country relies heavily on tourism to support its economy and the communities you visit will warmly welcome you. You can’t travel back in time (at least, not yet), but exploring Egypt is close enough.

The country remains full of reminders of one of the most impressive ancient civilisation history has ever known. The treasures and stunning landscapes are perfectly complemented by the warmth and hospitality of the people.

This eight-day journey packs in the best culture and adventure the country has to offer. Our lucky winners will explore the ancient sites along the Nile and discover the most famous Egyptian icon of them all, the Pyramids of Giza. Embrace the culture and meet remarkable people as you sample some traditional fare with a Nubian family in a local village and feel the buzz of vibrant bazaars in Aswan and Luxor. There’s even still time to relax and watch life unfold as you sail the Nile in a traditional felucca on an unforgettable voyage.

G Adventures is all about giving back to the communities its travellers visit, so you’ll also have the opportunity to visit a library and community education centre in Luxor supported by Planeterra (G Adventures’ non-profit organisation). Feel free to bring along books in English or Arabic to donate to the school for all the children to share.
