National Geographic Traveller (UK) has teamed up with Erna Low, La Plagne, France Montagnes and Atout France to offer you the chance to win an amazing week’s skiing for two in La Plagne.
France is renowned for having the world’s largest interconnected ski areas with a huge choice of resort styles, from charming villages to high-altitude, snow-sure ski areas with guaranteed snow cover from December until the end of April.
La Plagne is the world’s most popular ski resort and part of the Paradiski area- the second largest linked ski area on the planet, with 425km of skiable pistes between 3250m and 1200m altitude- over 2km of vertical drop!
La Plagne itself is made up of 10 different villages to suit every style and taste. Plagne 1800 is a former mining settlement of wooden chalets tucked away peacefully in a forest in the heart of the ski area.
Alongside its world-class skiing, La Plagne offers a raft of other fabulous mountain activities, including ice-climbing, husky-sledding and even a run down the Olympic bob-sled track!
La Plagne is a pioneering resort in terms of innovation and home to Marc Gostoli, founder of Antenne Handicap, an engineer and inventor that has revolutionized Paralympic skiing and one of the Faces of the French Mountains in our special feature: click here to read the full story.
Erna Low is one of the UK’s original ski holiday companies and offers a huge range of accommodation packages in La Plagne and across the French Alps and French Pyrenees.
Seven nights’ self-catered accommodation for two at Erna Low’s Plagne Lauze chalet-style apartments in Plagne 1800, located 300m from the lifts and with its own outdoor pool. The prize includes two 6-day La Plagne-Paradiski ski passes, equipment rental and a “Go to Ski” session. This is one of Marc Gostoli’s ingenious inventions, enabling spectacular learning & technique progression for skiers of all levels.
